Adreno vs Mali major differences to consider? Hello; I am currently working on a 3D renderer for android devices. Adreno devices have been the focus Snapdragon 820 and 845 and everything is working without issues. I have recently come to possess an Exynos device note 9, and so started “porting” the program to the new device. I did expect the need for adjustments, but I am struggling way more than I ever feared! The validation layer is not reporting any problem, yet the renderer barely renders anything in the best case, entirely crashes the phone in the worst. A few remarks so far The max sampled image count per render pass is very limited and so needs to be considered in the whole design of the renderer Multi draw indirect is not supported The device tends to randomly jump render passes, except the first one they are recorded in a single command buffer, which swaps every frame I have looked for documents highlighting the differences between the two GPUs that need to be considered in the development of a renderer but could not find anything the Mali guidelines only mention performance related advice.
